What do you do to make sure you don’t suffer so severely with the January blues? Make sure you’ve got something super exciting booked! And this year that’s exactly what happened. One of my best friends got married in February and us Bridesmaids organised a hen weekend she’ll never forget.

To be honest, it was all pretty classy. We hired a barn in Suffolk, just over an hour outside of London, as a complete surprise to our hen. This barn had everything you’d want for a girl’s weekend away, in the middle of nowhere this gorgeous property boasted an indoor swimming pool, hot tub, home cinema system, pizza oven and the most gorgeous open plan living space, it was perfect.

The barn is situated within a 360-degree radius of natural beauty. The view from the bright floor to ceiling windows is rolling fields for miles on end, and when you’re used to a hectic lifestyle in the city this was much appreciated.

We enjoyed our time during the weekend using the facilities, as well as a local spa and countryside walks. I’d recommend this barn to anybody looking for the perfect getaway, whether it’s with friends, family or a romantic break.
